Why it matters

While you were watching Slack,
something else moved.

01

Sampling misses what matters.

The loudest dozen reviews feel like the story. The pattern with the highest churn signal is usually hiding in fourteen different phrasings nobody on your team has time to read.

02

Your competitors stay invisible.

You read your reviews. You don't read theirs. The complaint quietly costing you renewals is often the feature they just shipped.

03

Loud doesn't mean important.

We rank by frequency and severity, not by volume. A handful of billing complaints can outweigh a hundred UI nitpicks — that's where the renewal risk lives.

How it works

Three steps. One PDF. Every Tuesday.

01

Ingest

A 60-day rolling window across App Store and Google Play — your app and up to 5 competitors. Every review, every rating, nothing dropped.

No keyword scraping. The complaint costing you renewals doesn't always use the word "churn", and the one driving uninstalls rarely uses "uninstall".

02

Cluster + rank

Fourteen ways of saying the same thing collapse into one pattern. Each pattern is scored by severity × frequency — the number that tells you whether it's a hotfix or a roadmap item.

Frequency alone overweights the loudest complainers. Severity alone overweights the rarest. Together, they point at what ships next sprint.

03

Deliver

Tuesday morning. The top themes, the verbatim quotes behind each, the competitor delta, and a suggested fix per theme — in your inbox.

The brief is the deliverable. No dashboards to log into, no AI summary that flattens the texture of the original review. Editorial, not generated.

Questions

Got questions? Get answers.

We already monitor our reviews closely. Why do we need this?

Monitoring isn't synthesis. Reading the loudest dozen reviews each week is a triage habit, not a research method — it misses the 14-mention pattern hiding in fourteen different phrasings, it misses your competitors' reviews entirely, and it has no opinion about which complaint is quietly costing renewals this week.

Verbatim is what you'd get if you had a researcher whose only job was to read every review you and your competitors received and rank the patterns by churn signal. That's a different deliverable from a Slack alert.

Is the report written by AI or by humans?

The synthesis runs on Claude. The voice, the structure, the ranking weights, and the editorial pass on every report before it ships come from our team. If a report ever reads like a template, it doesn't ship.

Which sources do you scrape?

App Store (all configured storefronts) and Google Play. We do not currently include Reddit, Twitter/X, or support tickets — those are on the roadmap, but adding them now would dilute the signal-to-noise on what we already do well.

How is severity calculated?

A 1-to-5 scale weighted by language intent (cancellation, data loss, legal/billing language) and star rating. We publish the rubric on request — it's not a black box.

Will the report change if you run it twice?

Numbers are deterministic — they come from a counted dataset. Phrasing in the executive summary will vary slightly, the way two editors would write the same brief differently. The rankings and evidence don't move.

What happens if my competitors change?

Email us. Competitor swaps are free up to once per quarter on Starter and Pro, and on demand on Agency.

Can I expense this?

Yes. Invoice with company name and VAT ID on request. Annual plans are 15% off plus one month free if you'd rather a single PO.
