Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Verbatim (the “Service”) at useverbatim.app and the reports delivered through it. By using the Service or accepting a Verbatim report, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
Verbatim is operated by Omar Abbas, contact omar@useverbatim.app. Full address: see the Impressum.
2. What Verbatim is
Verbatim is an editorial review-intelligence service. We read public App Store and Google Play reviews of an app you specify (and up to a few of its competitors), cluster the complaints, rank them by severity and frequency, and deliver a PDF report.
Verbatim is not a dashboard, a SaaS platform, a scraping service, or a data feed. Each report is an editorial deliverable produced by a human.
3. The free first report
The first report is free, no card required. There is no obligation to continue. If the report doesn't surface anything actionable for your team, that's where it ends.
4. Subscriptions and pricing
Paid plans are billed monthly in EUR. Prices are shown on the Pricing section of the site. As a small business under §19 UStG, no VAT is currently charged.
Subscriptions are month-to-month. You can cancel any time before the next billing date by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
5. Refunds and the “walk-away” promise
If a Verbatim report doesn't surface something your team didn't already know, email us within 14 days of delivery and we'll refund the corresponding month, no questions asked. This is an extra promise on top of any statutory rights you have under EU consumer law.
6. Delivery and timing
Reports are typically delivered on Tuesdays for ongoing subscriptions. The first report after sign-up is delivered within two business days. We don't guarantee specific delivery times in the strict legal sense — if we miss a delivery window meaningfully, refer to §5.
7. What you can do with a Verbatim report
Each report is licensed for use inside your organization. You can:
- Share the report with anyone on your team.
- Quote it in internal documents and presentations.
- Act on the findings however you see fit.
You may not:
- Resell or redistribute the report publicly without permission.
- Strip our methodology notes and republish the data as your own work.
Agency plans include white-labelling rights — see the agency tier description for details.
8. Data sources and accuracy
Reports synthesize publicly available app store reviews from Apple App Store and Google Play. Reviews are public statements by users, but we treat the data with care:
- Verbatim quotes are reproduced exactly as posted, in keeping with fair quotation.
- We do not publish reviewer names, usernames, or any identifying metadata beyond what is necessary to evidence a pattern.
- We use editorial judgment to cluster and rank — we don't claim mathematical objectivity.
9. No warranty on outcomes
Verbatim reports surface patterns. They don't guarantee business outcomes. We can't promise that acting on a report will reduce churn, increase ratings, or otherwise improve specific metrics. The Service is provided on an “as is” basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. Mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction (including under EU and German law) are not affected.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. This does not limit liability for intent, gross negligence, personal injury, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription. We can suspend or terminate access if a customer attempts to abuse the Service, misuse the reports, or engage in anything illegal — with notice when reasonably possible.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers at least 14 days before they take effect.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by German law. The place of jurisdiction for disputes with merchants is the registered location of the operator. For consumers, mandatory jurisdiction protections under EU and German law apply.
